XOMBI is a multi-year, large-scale project in black ink—etched onto textured watercolor paper, shaped by sculptural instinct, and guided by hands that trust surprise as much as precision. It unfolds as a series of works built around collectible modularity—a system of variation, form, and intention. Its distinctive style and tone are the result of experimentation, creative innovation, artistic progression, and thoughtful refinement. XOMBI presents a diverse field of graphic outcomes, conceptualized, designed, and produced from scratch by actual humans. It has incongruent moods, shifting representations, and unexpected subjects; but smart, cohesive tethering within its disparate nature.

XOMBI challenges the boundaries between fun, stillness, and vitality, and invites the viewer into a colorful field of deliberate visual complexity with striking aesthetic variation. It is a project meant to astound and captivate with its original visual language and expansive scope.

No generative shortcuts. No artificial influence. Just a project of skill, dedication, and persistent personal effort.

XOMBI is a living body of work—breathing life into the still…

INK:

XOMBI begins with black ink—640 physical originals, each hand-drawn on textured watercolor paper using traditional materials and analog techniques. Every mark is deliberate, shaped by impulse and skill rather than automation. These monochrome compositions form the foundation of the series: raw, immediate, and alive.

The originals are divided into six thematic categories—Head, Tool, Meat, Solid, Tube, and Base—with at least 100 pieces in each.

COLORWAYS:

Each physical piece is then expanded into a suite of nine digital versions: one high-resolution scan of the original black-and-white artwork, and eight hand-rendered color variants. These 5,760 digital works are crafted manually in Photoshop—not generated—individually layered and refined with care to preserve the integrity of the original linework while exploring new dimensions of palette, mood, contrast, and form.

Though digital in nature, each colorway reflects the same personal attention as the originals—preserving the touch and pacing of the human hand, and the decisions of the organic mind. Every digital piece is a non-fungible artwork (NFT)—cryptographically secured and backed by the provenance of its physical counterpart.

Whether experienced as sets of six across thematic categories or as nine-piece constellations derived from a single original, the works invite collection, curation, and connection.

Together, the ink and colorways form a dual body of work: tactile and tokenized, human-made and visually energized. XOMBI is a system of physical and digital pieces—material and immutable, singular and serial, cohesive and combinatory—that deepens the project’s visual and conceptual reach without compromising its human core. The modular structure intentionally invites aesthetic experimentation and discovery.

XOMBI is, in essence, one expansive work of art, built from individual artifacts that are composed into a broader visual language—open to endless arrangement and interpretation.
